More Spanish airports designated as health emergency entry points

On 17th May, Official State Bulletin (BOE) published an order expanding the number of airports designated as entry points with the capacity to provide care in the midst of an international public health emergency. Airports added to this list include those in Seville, Menorca, Ibiza, Lanzarote-César Manrique, Fuerteventura, Tenerife Sur, Alicante-Elche and Valencia.

Order TMA/410/2020 on the 14th May limited entry into Spain to aircraft and passenger ships arriving at designated points of entry. These arrival terminals were those deemed to have the capacity to provide appropriate care during a health crisis. This new order extends this designation to the airports in the cities above, as well as those originally included in the order.

Published in the “Boletín Oficial del Estado”, this will come into effect from midnight on 18 May, and will remain valid as long as the original order from the 14th May remains valid.
